People have asked us where the name Zaya came from.  Tony did
some research of Tibetan names and found 'Zaya' which is listed as
being of Tibetan and Mongolian origin and appears to have multiple
meanings.  The name is derived from a Mongolian word meaning
'destiny' or 'fate'. The name is also linked with the Mongolian word
'zayachin' which means 'beautiful' or 'gorgeous'.  Overall, the
name 'Zaya' is often interpreted as representing someone who is
destined for greatness or possesses a beautiful and attractive
nature - seems very appropriate, we think!

You can picture the scene and our amusement when Tony took Zaya up
to be gone over at a local training class, as a friend told us that
they had never imagined him with a "handbag dog".  Tony is as
besotted as the rest of us by this characterful, cheeky and
			occasional stubborn breed.

				Thanks to Maria Ottens for
this lovely photograph of Zaya after winning the Baby Puppy
Bitch class at the Tibetan Spaniel Association in Octoner 2024

Zaya has made her mark from an early age, winning the Best
Baby Puppy Award at a breed club and winning the Minor Puppy
Bitch class at LKA in December 2024.  Quite a promising
					start to her career.
